Uncut Play-by-play
After trailing 2-0 at the end of the first period, the Rapid City Rush stormed back furiously in the second period, scoring four unanswered goals to take the lead on the top seed in the Mountain Division. This clip is rookie Parker Bowman’s first professional marker to make it 4-2 late in the second period.
In a unique twist of fate, AHL-contracted defenseman Will Riedell’s brother, Jack, joined the Rapid City Rush for his professional debut on an amateur tryout contract in March 2024. After telling the unique story of the brothers and their sister, rookie forward Blake Bennett capitalized on a rebound to get Rapid City on the board.

Interviews
For the Rapid City Rush “Calgary Flames Night,” on February 10, 2024, I had the opportunity to interview Flames alumnus and 2006 Stanley Cup champion, Mike Commodore. These clips were used in promotion of the game on my broadcasts and multiple clips accompanied a feature story I wrote on Mike.

In October 2023, the Rapid City Rush signed forward Rhett Kingston. Rhett, born with three fingers on his right hand, detailed how he handled his journey and learning to play a little differently. This project was completed in conjunction with 605 Media and videographer Destyn Humann, but was award a 2024 Silver Addy Award by AAF Black Hills.
I shot this commercial on location at our team partner’s store. From the footage, I was able to edit a 30-second commercial that was played during each home game on the jumbotron, shared on social media and the audio was used during our streams as a commercial spot.
