Creating a strong identity for your organization is critical to success. Here are some of the branding projects I’ve designed and handled in my career.
Fayetteville Marksmen Star Wars Night
Star Wars Night is a massively important them night for the Fayetteville Marksmen organization and is ofter sponsored by The Salvation Army of the Sandhills in their market. For the 2022-23 season, I designed the Marksmen logo in the style of Star Wars villain Darth Maul, including “Marksmen” in Sith language. As part of this specialty brand, I also re-designed the team’s introduction sequence.

In the 2023-24 season, the Marksmen used another logo and uniform set I designed with the logo sporting the look of Yoda instead of Darth Maul.

Fayetteville Marksmen: Carolina Reapers
In 2021-22 the Marksmen adopted a rebrand identity to use for promotional nights. The Carolina Reapers brand appears every season to accompany the Fayetteville Eats Food Festival that the Marksmen host before the game. While the logo itself was designed by graphic artist Tyler Earles, my work on social media and in the area brought the brand to life.

Fayetteville Marksmen
The Marksmen brand itself stands off the page as one of the premiere brands in the SPHL. When I took over, the team’s look and feel was out-of-whack with multiple fonts, colors, and templates. I was able to harness the assets the team identified wanting and crafted a consistent, bold appearance for the team.

Carolina Thunderbirds
I wore a lot of hats with the Carolina Thunderbirds of the Federal Prospects Hockey League, but none as important as the design and social media aspect of my job during the COVID-19 panademic. The Thunderbirds played an abbreviated, 20-game between March and April of 2021, with every game being on the road. The Thunderbirds brand on social media, the web, and on team broadcasts were the only line tying fans and corporate partners to the team during the shortened season.

I also designed new logos for the Thunderbirds while I was there to enhance their branding profile. The Thunderbirds only had their main crest highlighted in the above graphics, but I was able to design a secondary and a script logo for the team, in addition to enhanced the main crest for theme nights. These logos have been featured on game-worn uniforms, apparel, social media designs, and the team webpage.
